Metering Pumps:  Diaphragm and Peristaltic

Diaphragm based pumps are used because they can deliver chemicals quantitatively to a process.  They can fit into a control scheme as either an ON-OFF device or as a PROPORTIONAL device.  We can provide either.  Based upon the requirements specified, we can offer a number of choices from several different manufacturers: Hanna Instruments, Blue-White, Hayward and LMI.  Some of the key factors are speed of pumping, pressure, viscosity, ON-OFF or Proportional dosing and capacity.  In addition special consideration must be given to delicate chemicals like polymers, since they can be damaged by improper pumping.  Polymer dilution for instance requires a special system.

Hanna Instruments Diaphragm Metering Pumps

Hanna Instruments BL PumpThe Blackstone Series of metering pumps features Teflon wetted parts.  Each pump has an adjustable speed control to allow for setting the proper dosage.  Typically these pumps are controlled remotely by a pH, ORP, conductivity or other ON-OFF process controller relay.  If cost is a factor in the system design, these pumps are a good choice.

 

 

 

Pharmaceutical Pumps
