Bench top meters for pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen,
salinity, and specific ions are available in Automatic titrators make repetitive assays easy and save time compared to conventional methods. These precision instruments are very accurate and are available with a wide number of included methods . Additional methods can be easily added due to their large memory capacity. A host of advanced features make these instruments extremely versatile. Hanna Instruments has now made these titrators affordable for most laboratories. Portable and bench turbidity meters are made for potable water, beer haze and wine limpidity. Colorimeters are photometric instruments are used to measure a variety of parameters. Ask us about our cost per test savings program for users of LaMotte or Hach colorimeters. We also supply colorimeters for all of the tests listed. Some of these tests are:
These ion specific measurements can be made using single parameter (dedicated) meters or with the larger multi-parameter meters. In all cases, the instrument microprocessor selects the proper wavelength of light and performs all the calculations based upon the selected test. Performing a very accurate analysis is extremely easy. The user need not have any experience with chemistry because now the modern colorimeters are microprocessor based. Reagents are pre-measured to virtually eliminate operator error and the need for an expensive balance (scale). Our chemical reagent program will insure you have a ready supply of the kits you use every day. Ion selective electrodes are also another way to measure for some of the parameters listed above. While they do make measurements even easier, some of these tests can not be performed using ISE electrodes. See the section on ISE electrodes for more information. In most cases, testing with a colorimeter will be less costly but ISE methods can be more convenient. |
